“It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.” -St. Francis

We, the people of St. Francis of Assisi, Madison, Mississippi, believe that by our Baptism, we became members of the body of Jesus Christ, the Church.TheChurch1

We believe that, as members of Christ’s body, we share in the life of Christ, and we believe that our life in Christ is nourished through the word of Sacred Scripture, the Sacraments, Liturgy and prayer.

We believe that through our Baptism we were called to share in the ministry of Jesus.

We believe that we minister through the generous and wise use of our talents, time and financial stewardship.

We believe that our ministry is motivated by love of God and love of our brothers and sisters. Therefore, we believe in the dignity of life and we treasure the human person.

We believe that Jesus became man to inaugurate the Kingdom of God on Earth.

We believe that through our ministry we help to bring that kingdom to completion. And we believe that the ultimate purpose of our lives on earth is to share fully and eternally in the Kingdom of God.
