Who is a Faithful Follower?
All high school students (grades 9-12) at St Francis. We are an open community and welcome all youth.
What is Our Mission?
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the mission of faith formation in our parish is to form disciples by creating a loving environment where all are invited to experience,
learn about, and live the Gospel of Christ.
Our mission is founded on Matthew 28:19-20, "Go make disciples" and also on Jesus' call, "Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19)
We will
- actively participate in the community
- share our faith
- challenge one another
- develop spiritually
- minister to and be enriched by serving those in need
- mature and flourish socially.
When and Where do we Meet and What do we Do?
Sunday Youth Night. With the rest of our worship community, we celebrate the Youth Mass on Sunday evenings at 5:30 together. All high school youth are invited to sit together in the pews by the Great Cross. Immediately after mass, in the Family Life Center we share a meal around 6:30 followed by faith building activities and religious education classes until 8:30.
WOW! (Worship on Wednesdays). This is our "youth group" night where we come together to share food, faith and fellowship. We meet in the FLC from 6:30-8:00 each Wednesday (except Parish Dinner nights).
Sports Night. We play Dodgeball the first Wednesday each month from 6:30-8:00 in the Family Life Center gym.
Tuesday Morning Prayer Breakfast. We meet each Tuesday morning at 7 am during the school year at Beagle Bagel in Madison to share in a morning devotion.
We also have LOTS of other activities throughout the year such as social activities, trips, diocesan events, service projects, and retreats.
