Adult Religious Studies

Religious education has traditionally been associated with children by way of CCD or parochial schools. Therefore, adult Catholics have been left out, but often desire to recapture the knowledge they learned as children and apply their faith to the many trials of adulthood. Often it is not until someone of another faith asks us questions like "Why do Catholics worship Mary?" or "Why do you have to confess to a priest?" that we begin to realize how much we have forgotten or just never really got a firm understanding of in the first place.

Our mission on the Adult Religious Studies Committee is to provide lifelong education and rediscovery of our Catholic Faith and Traditions for both cradle Catholics and new converts to the Faith.

The following are ways in which we try to do just that:

Sunday Morning 9:15-10:15 am, Family Life Center Lounge

Adult Bible sessions, coffee and discussion. Reflection and information for you and something for your children to use during the week!

Sunday Evening 7:30-8:30 pm, Family Life Center Lounge

Sessions will begin in September.

Wednesday Evening sessions 6:15-7:15 pm, St. Thomas Hall

(will be coupled with the Parish Dinner at 5:30 pm)
See the calendar for indivdual Wednesday topics.
